Company Description :
The A.P. Public Service Commission came into existence on 1 st November, 1956 with the formation of the State of Andhra Pradesh . Before this, there was Andhra Public Service Commission in the Andhra State and Hyderabad Public Service Commission in the Hyderabad State . Andhra Service Commission came into existence only in 1953 after the bifurcation of composite Madras State into Andhra and Madras States .
On the eve of formation of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission, Andhra Public Service Commission was functioning with a Chairman and two Members and Hyderabad Public Service Commission was functioning with one Member. Hence, A.P. Public Service Commission was constituted with a Chairman and 3 Members. With increasing work load, Government enhanced the strength of the Commission to Chairman and 5 Members in the year 1981 and later to Chairman and 7 Members in the year 1983. Government again reviewed the strength in 1994 and enhanced it to Chairman and 9 Members. This is the present strength also.

02 Assistant Labour Officer in A.P. Labour & Employment Sub-Service.
Educational Qualification : A Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University in India established or incorporated by or under Central Act, Provincial Act, a State Act or an Institution recognized by the U.G.C. or an equivalent qualification
03 Executive Officer Grade-II in A.P. Endowments Sub-Service.
Educational Qualification : A Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University in India established or incorporated by or under Central Act, Provincial Act, a State Act or an Institution recognized by the U.G.C. or an equivalent qualification.
Note: Candidates shall profess Hindu Religion under sub section (4) of Section 29 of the A.P.C. &

04 Assistant Development Officer in A.P. Handlooms and Textiles Sub-Service
Educational Qualification : A Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University in India established or incorporated by or under Central Act, Provincial Act, a State Act or an Institution recognized by the U.G.C. or an equivalent qualification. (OR)
Must posses a Diploma in Textile Technology or a Diploma in Handloom Technology issued by the A.P.
State Board of Technical Education or an equivalent qualification.
05 Assistant Section Officer in A.P. Secretariat Sub. Service.
Educational Qualification : A Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University in India established or incorporated by or under Ccentral Act, Provincial Act, a State Act or an Institution recognized by the U.G.C. or an equivalent qualification
06 Assistant Section Officer (Finance Dept.,) in A.P. Secretariat Sub. Service:
Educational Qualification : A Bachelor’s Degree with Commerce or Economics or Mathematics from any recognized University in India established or incorporated by or under Central Act, Provincial Act, a State Act or an Institution recognized by the U.G.C. or an equivalent qualification
07 Senior Accountant in A.P. Treasuries & Accounts Sub Service:
Educational Qualification : 1) Must hold a Degree in Commerce or Economics or Mathematics of any University recognized by the U.G.C,
Provided that a person who possess any Degree of any University in India shall also be eligible for appointment by direct recruitment on and from 25th June, 1979 AND Pass in any one of the following Certificate Course Examination conducted by the Board of Technical Education and Training, A.P., Hyderabad. (a) Office Automation (b) PC Maintenance and Trouble Shooting (c) Web designing
