Qualifivation Details Of Professor Cadre , Assistant Professor Cadre And Associate Professor Cadre Recruitment in ANGRAU

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates should possess the prescribed qualifications as on the last date of submission  of  application and  should  have  qualified  (himself  /  herself)  in the National Eligibility  Test  (NET) in  the  subject  concerned  along  with  one  publication  in  NAAS rated  referred or  any  peer  reviewed journal for  the  post  of Assistant  Professor cadre. The  NET  can  be  exempted    for  the  candidates  holding  Ph.D  degree,  provided  it  has been  done  with  course  work  as  prescribed  by  the  UGC  Regulations  2009  and  the
candidate  has  atleast  two  full  length  publications  having  a  NAAS  rating  not  less  than  4 on the last date of submission of application.  5% relaxation of marks at the master’s level  to  the  physically  and  visually  handicapped  persons  for  the  post  of  Assistant Professor is allowed

FACULTIES OF AGRICULTURE AND AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY

I) PROFESSOR CADRE
(1) Agronomy (2) Extension (3) Genetics & Plant Breeding (4) Plant Pathology 

i)  A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (relaxable  only  in  the  case  of  in-service Teachers of ANGRAU).

ii)  A Master’s degree in the concerned discipline with atleast 55% marks (or) any equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.

iii)  An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification in the concerned / allied / relevant discipline  and  published  work  of  high quality, actively  engaged  in  research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and / or research / policy papers. 

iv)  A minimum of ten years in teaching / research / extension in the University of which not less than two years should be in the cadre of Associate Professor. 

v)  Contribution  to  educational  innovation,  design  of new  curricula  and  courses and technology mediated teaching learning process.

vi)  A minimum score (400) has stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API)  based  Performance  Based  Appraisal System  (PBAS) from category  III of API’s of UGC regulations 2006.
  
(5) Agricultural Engineering

i)  A Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering (relaxable only in the case of in-service Teachers of ANGRAU).

ii)  A Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering with atleast 55% marks (or) any equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.

iii)  An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification in the concerned / allied / relevant discipline  and  published  work  of  high  quality,  actively  engaged  in  research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and / or research / policy papers.

iii)  Good  academic  record  with  a  Ph.D.  degree  in  the  concerned  /  allied  / relevant disciplines.

iv)  Experience not less than eight years in the cadre of Assistant Professor or equivalent cadre as on the last date for application.

v)  The Assistant Professor (Selection Grade Scale) and Associate Professor who  are  in  the  Pay  Band  of  Rs.15600-39100+AGP  8000 (in  the  revised UGC pay scales of 2006) can also apply.

iii)  Good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned / allied / relevant  disciplines.

v)  Experience not  less  than eight  years in the  cadre  of  Assistant  Professor  or  equivalent cadre as on the last date for application.

(10)Agril. Engineering :

i)  A Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering.

ii)  A Master’s degree in Agril.Engineering  any discipline  concerned  with  atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade.

(11) Biochemistry :

i)  A Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from a recognized University. Preference will be given to candidates possessing B.Sc. (Ag.) / B.Sc. (Horti.).

ii)  A Master’s degree in the subject (discipline) concerned with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.

(12) Statistics :

i)  A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics. Preference will be given to the candidates possessing B.Sc. (Ag.) / B.Sc. (Horti.).

ii)  A Master’s degree in the subject (discipline) concerned with at least 55% marks  or  its  equivalent  grade.  Preference  will  be  given  to  M.Sc.  (Ag.)  in Statistics

(13) Food Technology  :

i)  A  Bachelor’s  degree  in  Food  Technology  /  Food  Science  /  Agricultural Engineering  /  Dairy  Technology  /  Veterinary  Science  /  Agriculture  /  Home Science.

ii)  A Master’s degree  in  Food  Technology  /  Food  Science  &  Technology  / M.V.Sc (LPT) / M.Tech (Food Tech. / Food Engg. / Dairy & Food Engg. / Post Harvest  Engg.  /  Agricultural  Process  Engg.)  with  atleast 55%  marks  or  its equivalent grade.

(14) Plant Molecular Biology & Biotechnology  :

i)  A Bachelor’s degree  in  Agril.  Biotechnology  / Plant  Biotechnology from  a recognized  University.    Preference  will  be  given  to  candidates  possessing B.Sc (Ag.) / B.Sc. (Horti.) /B.Sc. (Forestry).

ii)  Masters  Degree  in  Plant  Molecular  Biology  &  Biotechnology  /  Plant Biotechnology / Agril.  Biotechnology or equivalent  degree from a recognized University with at least 55% marks in traditional system or equivalent grade.
 
(15) Agril. Microbiology :

i)  A  Bachelor’s  degree  in  Microbiology  from  a  recognized  University. Preference will be given to candidates possessing B.Sc (Ag.) / B.Sc.  (Horti.) /B.Sc. (Forestry).

ii)  Masters  Degree  in  Microbiology  /  Agril.  Microbiology  from  a  recognized University with at least 55% marks in traditional system or equivalent grade.
 
(16) Agri. Business Management :

i)  A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture

ii)  A Master’s degree in Agri.  Business  management  /  Business  Administration with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.

(17) Animal Husbandry Extension:

i)  A Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science.

ii)  A Master’s degree in the subject (discipline) concerned with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.


(18) Fishery Science:

i)  A Bachelor’s degree in  Fishery  Science  (Relaxable  only  in  the  case  of inservice teachers of ANGRAU).

iv)  Experience not less than eight years in the cadre of Assistant Professor or equivalent cadre as on the last date for application.

v)  The Assistant Professor (Selection Grade Scale) and Associate Professor who  are  in  the  Pay  Band  of  Rs.15600-39100+AGP  8000  (in  the  revised UGC pay scales of 2006) can also apply.

iii)  Good  academic  record  with  a  Ph.D.  degree  in  the  concerned  /  allied  / relevant disciplines.

iv)  Experience not less than eight years in the cadre of Assistant Professor or equivalent cadre as on the last date for application.

v)  The Assistant Professor (Selection Grade Scale) and Associate Professor who  are  in  the  Pay  Band  of  Rs.15600-39100+AGP  8000  (in  the  revised UGC pay scales of 2006) can also apply.

Apparel  &  Textiles  /  Foods  &  Nutrition  /  Human  Development  &  Family  Studies  / Resource Management & Consumer Sciences

i)  A   Bachelor’s degree in Home Science.

ii) A Master’s degree in the subject (discipline) concerned with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade.


ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN

i)   A Master’s degree in Library Science / Information Science  /  Documentation Science or an equivalent  Professional Degree with atleast 55% marks (or any equivalent  grade  in  a  point  scale  wherever  grading  system  is  followed)  and  a consistently  good  academic  record  with  knowledge  of  computerization  of
Library.

ii)  Qualifying  in  the  national  level  test  conducted  for  the  purpose  by  the  UGC  or any other agency approved by the UGC.

iii)  However,  candidates,  who  are,  or  have  been  awarded  Ph.D  degree  in accordance  with  the  University  Grants  Commission  (Minimum  standards  and procedure  for  Award  of  Ph.D  degree),  Regulations  2009,  shall  be  exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment.

Note :  All  the  candidates  applying  for  Assistant  Professor  Cadre in  all  the  faculties should  have  passed  SSC  examination  or  any  other  equivalent  examination with  Telugu  as  one  of  the  subjects or  should  have  studied  SSC  through  the medium of Telugu or should have working knowledge of Telugu. (Relaxable in  the case of in-service teachers of ANGRAU).
