Organisation Name : Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital.

Organisation Description :

 Safdarjung Hospital started as an American Army Base Hospital during the II World war. In 1947 it was made annexe to Irwin Hospital (Presently LNJP Hospital). It was taken over by the Central Government in 1954 and named as Safdarjung Hospital. Until the inception of All India Institute of Medical Science in 1956, Safdarjung Hospital was the only tertiary care hospital in South Delhi. 

Based on the needs and developments in medical care the hospital has been regularly upgrading its facilities from diagnostic and therapeutic angles in all the specialties. The hospital when started in 1942 had only 204 beds, which has since increased to 1531 beds. The hospital provides medical care to millions of citizens not only of Delhi but also the neighbouring states free of cost.  Safdarjung Hospital is a Central Government Hospital under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and is receives its budget from the Ministry. Safadarjung Hospital has a Medical College associated with it named Vardhman Mahavir Medical College.

Job Role : Staff Nurse.

Educational Qualification :  

(i) Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery or equivalent. 
(ii) (a) Registered as Nurse; and  (b) Registered as Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Council.

Job Location : New Delhi.

Pay scale : (PB-2)  Rs.9300/- to 34800/- + Grade pay: Rs.4600 plus allowances as admissible to the Central Government employees from time to time.

NOTE:

(I)  The application containing the application form must be  superscribed in bold  letters as  “ APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF STAFF NURSE”.

(II)  Applications which are not in the prescribed format will be rejected.

(III)   Applications complete in all respects must reach to the Safdarjang Hospital within 30 days from the date of advertisement.  Age will be reckoned from the closing date of advertisement.

(IV)   The candidates should have the requisite academic qualification from a recognized Institution for the post applied for at the time of application itself. (V)   If a candidate produces false documents,  he/she will not onl y be disqualified/ dismissed from services, if already appoint ed but may also be liable for at the time of application itself.

(VI)   NOC in the form of undertaking from the em ployer to the effect that in case of selection, the department will spare the candidate for joining service in the Hospital Should be attached with the application.

(VII)  Candidates trying to use any influence  or adopt any unfair means would be disqualified from the selection.  

(VIII)   Failure to comply with any of the instructions contained in this notification may entail rejection of candidature.
