Organization Description : Indian Railway's strategic initiative to containerize cargo transport put India on the multi-modal map for the first time in 1966. Given the continental distances in India (almost 3000 km from North to South and East to West), rail transport could be the cheaper option for all cargo over medium and long distances, especially if the cost of inter-modal transfers could be reduced. Containerized multi-modal door-to-door transport provided the ideal solution to this problem. It was this idea that saw the Indian Railways entering the market for moving door-to-door domestic cargo in special DSO containers starting in 1966. Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR), was incorporated in March 1988 under the Companies Act, and commenced operation from November 1989 taking over the existing network of 7 ICDs from the Indian Railways.

Job Introduction : Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), a Blue-chip Miniratna Public Sector Undertaking under the administrative control of Ministry of Railways is the leader in the field of Containerized Multimodal Logistics Services in India. The company plays a major role in developing multimodal transport and logistics infrastructure to support India's growing domestic and international trade.

CONCOR also provides facilities for cargo storage, customs clearance and other value added services like bonded warehousing, bonded trucking, LCL consolidation etc., through vast network of container terminals (ICDs/DCTs/CFSs/PSCTs). In Financial year 2010-11, CONCOR has achieved a total income of Rs. 4,030.18 Crores with net profit of Rs.1,058.27 Crores (NPBT). With its aggressive growth plans the company is looking for talented professionals in the following areas.



Job Role :

1.Sr.Assistant. (C&O) 
2.Hindi Translator

Educational Qualification :

1.Sr.Assistant. (C&O) : Graduate with minimum 50% marks. Candidate should be conversant working in a computerized environment.
2.Hindi Translator : Graduate with 50% marks in hindi as an elective and English as a main subject at degree level or graduate with English as a main subject and a degree or diploma equivalent to BA in Hindi. 1 year Experience is required.



Pay scale :

1.Sr.Assistant. (C&O) : Rs. 9120-3% to Rs.20500
2.Hindi Translator : Rs.10280-3% to Rs.23300
