NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF NUTRITION (NIN)

Organization Description : NIN has attained global recognition for its pioneering studies on various aspects of nutrition research, with special reference to protein energy malnutrition (PEM). Institute’s activities are broad-based, encompassing the whole area of food and nutrition. The Institute has achieved close integration in its research activities between the laboratory, the clinic and the community.

Job Introduction : Eligible  candidates  are  invited  to  attend  a WALK-IN-INTERVIEW on  the  following  dates  at 9.30 A.M. sharp for the following posts on the ad hoc research project entitled “Nutritive Value of Indian  Foods – Integrated  Indian  Foods  Composition Tables” at Academic  Staff  College, Gauhati  University,  Gauhati –  871014  (Assam).

Job Role :  Sr.Technical Assistant.

Educational Qualification : B.Sc. with Chemistry and Biology as one of the subject 
Desired Qualification : M.  Sc.  In  Chemistry  /  Biochemistry  /  Zoology  /    Botany  /  Microbiology  / Food  Science  /  Food Science  &  Nutrition  with  experience  in  analysis  of nutrients in foods.  Experience in handling of Fast HPLC / HPLC / ICPMS /  LCMS  /  AAS  /  Kjeldahi  nitrogen  analyzer,  microwave  ashing  system, microwave  digestion  system,  muffle  furnace, Sat  boiling  distillation system  will  be  an  added  advantage.   Minimum  one  to  three  years working experience.  

Job Location : Hyderabad.

Pay scale : Rs.26,183/- p.m. (fixed) without any other allowances.

The candidates should bring all original certificates of educational qualification (from SSC onwards), experience/ Scheduled Tribe certificate along with a photo and set of Photo copies duly attested  for  attending  the  Walk-in-Interview.  No  TA/DA  will  be  paid  for  attending  the Interviews/Written  Test.   The selected candidates  will  be  posted  at  the  National  Institute  of Nutrition, Hyderabad; however they are required to undertake touring in Northeast area and other parts of the country from time to time.
