An Examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 19th August, 2012 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 130th Course, and for the 92nd Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from July, 2013. The candidates Joining Indian Naval
Academy would undergo 4 years B.Tech Course and would be given an opportunity to join Executive and Technical Branches of the Navy subject to availability of vacancies.

Number of Vacancies : 355 [(195 for the Army, 39 for Navy, 66 for the Air Force and 55 for Indian Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme)].
The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeks before the commencement of the examination. The e-Admission Certificate will be made available on the UPSC website for being downloaded by candidates. No Admission Certificate will be sent by post. All the applicants are required to provide valid & active e-mail i.d. while filling up Online application form as the Commission may use electronic mode for contacting them.
Education Qualification :
(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy : 12th Class pass of the 10+2
pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State
Education Board or a University.
(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the
10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy : 12th Class pass of the
10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics
conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the
10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy : 12th Class pass of the

conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.
Such candidates who qualify the SSB interview but could not produce Matriculation/10+2 or equivalent certificate in original at the time of SSB Interview should forward duly attested photocopies to `Addl. Directorate General of Recruiting, Army HQ, West Block-III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066' and for Naval Academy candidates to 'Naval Headquarters, DMPR, OI&R Section, Room No. 204, `C' Wing, Sena Bhavan, New Delhi-110011' by 11th June, 2013 failing which their candidature will be cancelled.
Age Limit : Born between 02nd July 1994 to 01st January 1997.
Scheme of Examination : The subjects of the written examination, the time allowed and the maximum marks allotted to each subject will be as follows :
Mathematics Code is 1 its Duration is 2 1/2 Hours with Maximum Marks of 300.
General Ability Test Code is 2 its Duration is 2 1/2 Hours with Maximum Marks of 600. Total Marks 900.

Physical Standard : Minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cm for all wings except Air Force Wing. Height of candidates should not be less than 162.5 cm for Air Force wing. Height would be reduced by 05 cm for candidates of North East, Hilly areas. 02 cm height deduction will be given to resident of Lakshdweep.
Chest of candidates should not be less than 76 cm, while minimum 05 cm extension is required.

Application Fee : Rs. 50/- only is required to remit as application fee. Mode of Payment can be done By using either Visa / Master / Credit / Debit Card or depositing shown amount through Net banking of SBI / State Bank of Bikaner / Maysore / Patiala / Hyderabad / Travancore.
Candidate of SC/ST or sons of JCO / NCO are not needed to pay any application fee.
