Job Role : 

1.Mining Foreman

Number of Vacancies : 10.

Educational Qualification : Matriculation/ Diploma in Mining along with Mining Foreman’s Certificate of Competency under MMR 1961 from the Competent Authority.

Pay Scale : Rs.9160 – 3% – 13150/-.

2.Mining Mate

Number of Vacancies : 15.

Educational Qualification : Matriculation along with Mining Mate’s Certificate of Competency under MMR 1961 from the Competent Authority.

Pay Scale : Rs.8630 – 3% – 12080/-.

Number of Vacancies : 25.


Experience : Post qualification experience of minimum 1 (one) year.

Age Limit : As on 30th June 2012 for General/Unreserved–28 Years, for SC/ST–33 Years (Including Relaxation of 5 Years), OBC – 31 Years (Including relaxation of 3 Years).

Application Fee : 

a) Candidates  belonging  to  General/OBC  category  will   be  required  to pay  application  fee  of Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred & Fifty only).

b) Candidates belonging to SC/ST category will be required to pay processing fee of Rs.50/- (Rupees Fifty only).

The applicable fee is to be paid [separately for each mine/post] by way of Crossed Account Payee Demand Draft on any Nationalized Bank or I.P.O. drawn in favour of Steel Authority of India Limited, Raw Materials Division payable at Kolkata.

How to Apply :

Candidates fulfilling the above criteria may send their typewritten application in the format, prescribed, with two signed recent passport size photographs, apart from the photo pasted (signature should be done as not to distort the face).

Application should be sent in sealed envelope mentioning the post applied for, super scribed on the envelope, so as to reach latest by 16.08.2012, to the designated authorities of the MINES, they choose to apply for, as detailed below:
