Education Qualification : Candidates should possess the qualification of  10th
Pass or ITI or  equivalent.Candidates appearing at and/or awaiting results of the final examinations of 10th/ITI or equivalent on the date of application are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit : The normal age (in completed years) for the recruitment is 18-33 years reckoned as on 01.01.2013.

Application Fee : Applicants belonging to Unreserved and OBC categories would require to pay application fee of Rs. 40/-. This fee amount must be remitted in form of crossed Demand Draft from State Bank of India or from any Nationalised Bank or in form of crossed Indian Postal Order. These payment receipts must be drawn in favour of “Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, Secunderabad – 500 071 payable at Hyderabad or Secunderabad. SC/ST/Women/Minority Community/Economically Backward Candidates/PWD/EXSM are exempted from payment of fee.

Selection Procedure : Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Written Test, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Original document verification and Medical Examination.

Organization Description : South Central Railway was formed on 02-10-1966 when Hubli and Vijayawada Divisions of Southern Railway and Sholapur and Secunderabad Divisions of Central Railway were carved out and merged into a new Zone. Subsequently, Guntakal Division of Southern Railway was merged with South Central Railway on 02-10-1977 and Sholapur Division was remerged with Central Railway.Secunderabad Division was split into two Divisions viz. Secunderabad and Hyderabad on 17-02-1978. Following reorganisation of zones and Divisions with effect from 01-04-2003, two new Divisions viz., Guntur and Nanded were operationalised duly transferring Hubli Division to newly formed South Western Railway.
