Andhra Pradesh Public Service commission (APPSC) Assistant Statistical Officers Recruitment 2012 for Applications are invited in A.P Economics and Statistical Subordinate Service. Interested Candidates can apply through online applications at apspsc.gov.in. 

Eligible Candidates must have to payable Rs.100/- towards Application Processing Fee and All those who are not exempted From payment of Fee have also to pay Rs.80/- of Examination Fee. 

Candidates belonging to other States shall Pay Fee of Rs.80/-. Application Processing Fee is compulsory to all applicants. APPSC Assistant Statistical Officers written examination will be held on  24 Jun 2012. Interested Candidates can apply online before 09 Apr 2012.

Eligibility Criteria:

Name of the Post: Assistant Stastical Officers

Number of Vacancies: 403 Posts

Qualification: BSc / BA in Second Class Degree from a recognized university with any two of following four subjects. (Economics, computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics)

Age: Minimum 18 – 36 years as on 01 July 2012.

Relaxation of Upper Age Limit:

 
For SC/ST/BCs candidates – 5 years

For PH Candidates – 10 years

For N.C.C Candidates – 3 years

For Ex-service men candidates – 3 years

For Retrenched Temporary employees in the State Census Department with 6 months service  – 3 years

For A.P State Government Employees – 5 years (APSEB, APSRTC, Municipalities and corporations employees are not eligible.

Scale Of Pay: Rs.11,530/- TO Rs.33,200/-

Application Fee: Candidate must pay Rs.100/- with Application Processing Fee and Examination of Fee Rs.80/-.

Selection Procedure: Final Selection of Assistant Statistical Officer will be based on written examination. Category wise minimum qualifying marks are given below.

For OCs candidates – 40%
For BCs candidates – 35%
For SCs/STs and PHS candidates – 30%

Assistant Statistical Officers Syllabus Details:

APPSC Assistant Statistical Officers written examination is Objective Type.

Paper-I for General Studies – 150 Marks in 150 Questions of 150 Min

Paper-II for Concerned Subjects(One Subject only) – 150 Marks in 150 

Questions of 150 Min. 

The written examination of total 300 Marks.

Candidate must have to choose one subject for Paper-II (Economics, computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics).

How To Apply: Candidate has logon to apspsc.gov.in website and fillup each and every column of his/her personal information via, Name, Father/Husband/Mother’s Name, Community and Date of Birth. All above information entering applicant will get Challan Form Downloadable, to pay the Examination fee at AP Online Centers / at any State Bank Of India branches. The Next working day after payment of Fee Challan, applicant must again logon to apspsc.gov.in and entering the Journal Number to get download the format of Application. 

Assistant Statistical Officers applications through apply online only. Candidate must scan the Photo(JPEG Format) and Signature and upload in the application form. Candidate after making payment of Fee fails to submit the Bio-data particulars, then the applications shall be rejected without any notice. If candidate fails to enter “community” for any reason, they will be treated as an OC without giving any notice.
