National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET 2013)
 
As per CBSE Press Note , National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET 2013) for MBBS and BDS admission will be conducted on May 5, 2013. 

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET 2013) will cater to admissions in all the government and private medical and dental colleges in the country on the basis of its merit list. Over 10 lakh students are expected to take this examination next year.

NEET 2013 2013 Scores Common merit will be used for admissions to a total of 355 medical colleges in the country

The CBSE will be conducting the NEET 2013 in English, Hindi and those regional languages in which the tests were held earlier.

1. What is NEET 2013?
NEET 2013 (National Eligibility Entrance Test) is a National level common entrance test, to be conducted for admissions to medical colleges all over India. Admissions to Undergraduate and Postgraduate Medical courses will be based on the scores of NEET 2013.

2. When will NEET 2013 be introduced?
The First National Eligibility Entrance Test will be conducted in May 2013.

3. Which regulatory body is responsible for conducting NEET 2013?
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting NEET 2013 on behalf of the Medical Council of India (MCI).

4. What is NEET 2013-UG and NEET 2013-PG?
NEET 2013-UG is a common entrance test for admissions to Undergraduate medical courses like MBBS and BDS. NEET 2013-PG is a common entrance test for admissions to Postgraduate medical courses like M.S and M.D.

5. What is the Eligibility criterion for NEET 2013-UG?
Candidates should have passed 10+2 with a score of 50% (General) and 40% (SC/ST/OBC) from a recognized board.

6. What is the Age eligibility for NEET 2013-UG?
Candidates appearing for NEET 2013 should be a minimum of 17 years and maximum 25 years. A 5 years relaxation on the age upper limit is applicable for SC/ST/OBC.

7. What is the Eligibility of NEET 2013-PG?
Candidates appearing for NEET 2013-PG should have passed MBBS final year and should have completed internship as well.

8. What is the reservation criterion for NEET 2013?
Reservations for SC, ST, OBC and differently abled will be as per Government of India and respective State norms.85% of the medical college seats will be filled in by the State Merit list candidates and remaining 15% of seats will be filled in by All India Merit List Candidates.

9. What is the exam pattern of NEET 2013-UG?
NEET 2013 will consist of 180 Multiple Choice Questions with a time allotment of 3 hours.

10. What is the syllabus of NEET 2013-UG?
NEET 2013-UG syllabus mainly covers 11th and 12th physics, chemistry, biology and zoology. Questions will be based on the syllabus of these three subjects.

The NEET 2013-PG syllabus is yet to be declared.

13. Is there negative marking scheme in NEET 2013?
As of now there is no negative marking for wrong answers in NEET 2013 exam.

14. What is the Medium of Instruction of NEET 2013-UG?
NEET 2013-UG will be conducted in English and Hindi as of now. Plans to conduct NEET 2013 in regional language is still under debate.

15. What is the application fee of NEET 2013?
The application fee for NEET 2013 is Rs.1000 (General) and Rs.800 (Reserved).

The NEET 2013 will comprise 180 objective questions designed by the Medical Council of India considering the question papers of state entrance tests. Sample question papers will be uploaded on the official website. (September 3, 2012)



Negative Marking in NEET 2013 Exam 
Four marks will be given for the correct answer, one negative mark will be given for the wrong answer . No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions (September 3, 2012)
