Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) Chennai has is hiring personnel at large number of 2461 posts in specified categories of Southern Railway. Eligible candidates, who satisfy all eligibility criteria, may apply through prescribed application format on or before 25-09-2012.

 Number of Vacancies: 2461
 
1. Sweeper-cum-Porter – 482 vacancies
2. Trackman – 1003 vacancies
3. Helper Gr II – 784 vacancies
4. Safaiwala – 94 vacancies
5. Peon – 22 vacancies
6. Trackman/Mali/Helper Gr II/Vendor/Peon/Sanitary Cleaner – 76 vacancies

Age Limit: Candidates’ age must not be less than 18 years and must not be more than 33 years. Cutoff date for determining age limit would be 01-01-2013. (Age relaxations will be extended as per Govt. rules).

Educational Qualification: Candidates must be pass outs in 10th standard or must possess ITI or equivalent.

Application Fee Details: Unreserved and OBC applicants need to pay application fee of Rs. 40/-. SC/ST/EXSM/PWD/Women/Minority candidates/Economically Backward Classes are exempted from payment of fee. Fee must be in form of Demand Draft / Pay Order from any Nationalized Bank, or crossed Indian Postal Order from any Post Office drawn in favour of “Assistant Personnel Officer(Recruitment), Railway Recruitment Cell, Southern Railway” payable at Chennai.

Selection Process: Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Written Test and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) followed by Medical Examination.

How to Apply: Candidates need to download application format available in the notification or website of this office, fill it with all mandatory details, attach photograph, attest signature, affix left thumb impression, super scribe ‘Application for recruitment to posts in pay band – 1 with grade pay of Rs. 1,800/- in southern railway & ICF’ on the envelope and send it along with payment receipt and Copies of all relevant certificates,
