The Rajasthan Police was formed in the year 1951 by the merger of the erstwhile princely states. The headquarter is located in Jaipur. The security and the police forces of the former princely states varied in composition, functions and administrative procedures. 

The main purpose to form the Rajasthan Police was to uphold the law and  maintain order, to protect life and property of the society , prevent crime and disorder, detect and apprehend offenders and preserve a sense of security in the society. The nine organizational units are Crime branch, Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC), State Special Branch, Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS), Planning and Welfare, Training, Forensic Science laboratory, Telecommunications and Traffic Police.The Rajasthan Police recruits the candidates through RPSC (Rajasthan Public service commission). The Rajasthan Police conducts a state level Rajasthan Administrative service (RAS) Written exam through RPSC (Rajasthan Public service commission). Selection After passing the exam, recruits undergo training at RPA Jaipur.The selection is based on the performance in the written exam and on the merit list.The selection is subject to rules and regulation of home affairs of Rajasthan government. The Rajasthan Police announces the results on the official website www.police.rajasthan.gov.in. candidates can check their results on the official website name wise and roll number wise.Candidates can check the results registration number wise.
