TNEA 2014 RANK LIST COUNSELING SCHEDULE ANNA UNIVERSITY

Anna University, Chennai , has published the merit list for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA)2014. Candidates can access the list on http://online.annauniv.edu/tnea/ using their application number and date of birth as log in credentials.

TNEA 2014 saw over 1.7 candidates appearing in the exam this year, out of which, 92,731 candidates (33,304 female, 59,427 male) are first graduates who won’t require paying tuition fee.

With the declaration of results as well as the merit list, the admission counseling process is also set to commence. The call for counseling will be made based on the rank of the candidates. A call letter will be dispatched to the registered address of all the qualified candidates. The letter will specify the counseling dates and other important details.

The counseling schedule for TNEA 2014 is as follows:

• Counseling for academic General candidates: from June 27 to July 28
• Counseling for Eminent Sports persons: from June 23 to June 24
• Counseling for Differently Abled persons: June 25
• Counseling for Vocational candidates: July 9 to July 20

The counseling session will be completed in five phases:

• In Phase 1, candidates will be required submitting their call letters alongside the admission counseling fee at the designated branch.  The receipt collected from the bank will be required as the counseling progresses.

• In Phase 2, candidates will be briefed about the admission process in detail

• Phase 3 will see the verification of original pass certificates of the qualifying exams

• Candidates will be given the opportunity to select their preferred seats (based on TNEA 2014 merit list rank) in Phase 4.

• In the fifth and final phase, candidates will be allotted a seat following which, they will be allowed to enroll in the assigned college.
