AVAILABILITY OF SEATS:
Number of seats available in various Management institutions (Full Time and Part Time) & MCA instit utions in Madhya Pradesh are indicated in the Tables 1, 2 and 3 are tentative. Updated status of Seats, Distribution of Seats (MP Domiciled Candidate Seats, All India Seats, General Pool seats, NRI Seats and Female Seats etc.) shall be available on the website of the Competent Authority authorized by the State Government for conducting counselling.
Reservation of seats:
16%, 20% and 14% of the seats available for MP domicile candidates seats / General Pool seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Classes (excluding Creamy Layer) of Madhya Pradesh respectively in Government inst itutions, institutions declared autonomous by the State go vernment, Government Aided Institutions, Self financing autonomous and Unaided Private institutions.
(A) Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) Category of Madhya Pradesh:
A candidate claiming to be either of SC or ST category of MP shall have to produce a certificate at the time of verification of documents from the competent authority in Proforma - 2(A) or 2(B) as given in this rule book.(Vide MP Government GAD order No. F.7-2/96 vk-iz-@1] Hkksiky] fnukad 01-08-1996
(B) OBC category of Madhya Pradesh
A candidate claiming reservation under OBC (excluding creamy layer) category shall have to produce a certificate at the time of verification of documents issued by the competent authority in Proforma 3(A) or 3(B) as given in the rule book.( Vide MP Govern ment GAD order No. F/7-2/96 vk-iz-@1] Hkksiky] fnukad 12.03.1997 and order no. ,F-7-2/96 vk-iz-@1] Hkksiky] fnukad 06-07-2000 and as per latest order issued by the Govt. of M.P. regarding creamy layer. The candidate should also bring an income certificate at the time of verification of documents regarding his/her family’s income from the Competent Authority and stating that his/her parents do not come under creamy layer if OBC certificate is issued before
30th April, 2010.
NOTE:
(a) A candidate can claim reservation under only one of the various reserved categories.
(b) A candidate, claiming reservation under a reserved category or other reserved seats shall have to produce
relevant certificate/ certificates in proforma prescribed by the Government of MP at the time of counselling /admission.
(C) Reservation for Female candidates:
30% seats in each category viz. UR, SC, ST and OBC shall be reserved for female candidates in Government institutions, institutions declared autonomo us by the State government, Government Aided Institutions, Self financing autonomous.
This reservation shall be a compartmentalized horizontal reservation. Seats remaining vacant in fema le quota of a category shall be filled by converting such seats into Open Quota (OP) of the same category.
However if even after this conversion the Open Quota (OP) of that category does not get filled then these vacancies shall be filled by converting them into Open Quota (OP) of other categories as per the procedure laid down in Rule.
(D) Reservation for Persons with disabilities (Physically Handicapped Seats):
3% seats in each category viz. - UR, SC, ST and OBC shall be reserved for candidates with disability percentage of 40 or above and satisfying MP domicile requirements in Government institutions, institutions declared autonomous by the State government, Government Aided Institutions, Self financing autonomous. This reservation shall be compartmentalized horizontal reservation. Seats remaining vacant in this category shall be filled by converting such seats into Open Seats of the NIL (X) category.
However, if even this conversion the Open Seats (OP) of that category does not get filled then these vacancies shall be filled by converting them in to Open Seats (OP) of other categories as per the procedure. Candidates claiming admission against these seats (Physically Handicapped Seats) shall be required to produce following certificates at the time of verification of documents:-
(i) Disability Certificate from the concerned District Medical Board; AND
(ii) Eligibility Certificate for the course from the Superintendent, Government of India, Ministry of Labour, Vocational Rehabilita tion Centre for Physically Handicapped, Napier Town, Jabalpur.
(E) J&K Migrant's Seats:
One seat, on over and above basis, in each of the Institution is reserved for J&K migrants. T he admission shall be given on the basis of merit as decide d by the MET-2012/Pre MCA 2012 test conducted by Vyapam, Bhopal. The candidate shall have to produce a ce rtificate as given in proforma-9 duly signed by competent authority at the time of verification of documents.
Sons/daughters of the employees of MP Government who have served in the State of Jammu & Kashmir for curbing insurgency are also covered un der the J&K migrant. Such candidates should have passed their qualifying examination from the State of J&K. Candidates shall have to produce a certificate in proforma-10 of th is rule book at the time of verification of documents.
(F) J&K Resident's Seats:-
One seat each in all institutio ns has been reserved for residents of Jammu & Kashmir. The candidates seeking
admission against these reserved seats shall be required to appear in MET-2012/Pre MCA 2012 test conducted by Vyapam, Bhopal and submit appropriate certificate issued by the competent Authority at the time of verification of documents. These seats shall be considered under All India Seats.
(G) NRI Seats:
Admission against these seats will be carried out as per the regulation published in MP Government Gazette dated 15th July, 2009 for admission against NRI seats "reservation to Non-Resident Indian Regulati on 2009 (and amendments).
3. Domicile Requirements:
No candidate shall be selected for admission against the MP domicile seats reserved in Government institutions, institutions declared autonomous by the State government, Government Aided Institutions, Self financing autonomous institutions and No candidate belonging to SC, ST & OBC (Excluding Creamy Layer) category shall be selected for admission against the seats reserved for them in Unaided Private institutions unless;
(1) He/She is a Citizen of India, and
(2) (a) He/She has been educated in an educational institution located in MP for at least three consecutive
years during the five years period from year 2007 to 2012. (Certificate in Proforma-4);
OR
(b) He/She is a bonafide resident of MP as per the Explanation-1 given below: (C ertificate in Proforma-5);
OR
(c) He/She is a son or daughter of,
(i) An employee or a pensioner of the Government of MP or an employee of the Government of MP who
died while in service of or an officer of the All India Services of the cadre of MP (Certificate in Proforma-6);
OR
(ii) A Central Government em ployee including employee of Defense Establishments, employee of Post & Telegraph Department or the Railways or an employee of a Public Sector Undertaking posted and stationed in MP on or before January 1, 2012 till date of admission. (Certificate in Proforma-7);
OR
(iii) A person settled in MP under any resettlement scheme sanctioned by the Go vernment of India or the
State Government of MP (Certificate in Proforma-8).
EXPLANATION 1:
GUARDIAN: Guardian in relation to a candidate means any person who in the opinion of the District Magistrate concerned, has after the death of his/her father and mother been in actual charge of or control over the candidate or his/her property or both, at the time of application since the death of his/her father and
mother. The certificate of guardianship from the appropriate court shall have to be produced as an evidence of guardianship. If the father of a candidate is dead but the mother is alive, she shall be deemed to be natural guardian of the candidate and no other person shall be recognized as guardian. Son or daughter shall also include stepson or stepdaughter.
EXPLANATION 2:
Adopted sons/daughters If an applicant, whether belonging to unreserved or reserved category, is desiro us of seeking admission on the basis of being adopted Son/Daughter of a parent, he/she has to produce a satisfactory valid adoption certificate executed at-least five years before the last date of submission of application for admission. The adoption certificate should be verified from the school or college records to the effect that the applicant has attended or from a certificate of any examination passed by the candidate during last five years.
The applicant, claiming admission under any reserved category, against this facility should belong to that
reserved category before adoption. An applicant originally belonging to any other categories than Schedule cast or schedule tribe adopted by a Schedule cast or schedule tribe parent would not qualify for this facility or benefits thereof.
