Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a public sector undertaking under the administrative control of the Ministry of Mines, was incorporated on 9th November 1967. It has the distinction of being the nation’s only vertically integrated copper producing company as it manufactures copper right from the stage of mining to beneficiation, smelting, refining and casting of refined copper metal into downstream saleable products.
The Company markets copper cathodes, copper wire bar, continuous cast copper rod and by-products, such as anode slime (containing gold, silver, etc.), copper sulphate and sulphuric acid. More than 90% of the sales revenue is from cathode and continuous cast copper rods. In concluded financial year 2006-07, as per provisional estimates, the Company has earned a all time highest net profit pf Rs 331 crore (~USD 75 million ) against a sales turnover of Rs 1800 crore (~ USD 420 million). HCL’s mines and plants are spread across four operating Units, one each in the States of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Maharashtra.Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) is a vertically integrated, multi-Unit, Schedule-A Miniratna Public Sector Enterprise which owns all the Copper Mines in the country with a gross turnover of Rs.1257.58 Cr (2010-11). The Company’s production Units are located in picturesque surroundings in the States of Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra with Corporate Office at Kolkata. The Units have well-developed Townships with modern facilities. The Company, with employee strength of
around 5000, is on the fasttrack of growth and expansion. Its approach is ‘People- Centric’ and provides for elaborate HR processes including well defined policies to cater to employees’ growth and aspirations.

Age Limit : 54 Yrs./
Qualification : Degree in Mining or equivalent with 1 st Class Mines Managers Certificate of Competency under Metalliferrous Mines Regulations, 1961
Dy.General Manager (Mining)
Scale of Pay (Grade) : Rs.19500-25350/-* ( E-7)
Age Limit : 50 Yrs.
Qualification : Degree in Mining or equivalent with 1 st Class Mines Managers Certificate of Competency under Metalliferrous Mines Regulations, 1961
2. Chief Manager (Mining)
Scale of Pay (Grade) : Rs.36600-62000/- (E-5)
Age Limit : 45 Yrs.
Qualification : Degree in Mining or equivalent with 1 st Class Mines Managers Certificate of Competency
under Metalliferrous Mines Regulations, 1961
3. General Manager/ (Elect. or Mech.)
Scale of Pay (Grade) : Rs.51300-73000/-(E-8)/

Qualification : Degree in Electrical Engineering / Telecommunication/Mechanical Engineering

Qualification : Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce/ Engineering with Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Personnel Management or MBA with specialisation in Personnel Management. Degree in Law preferable. .
6. Chief Manager (Legal)
Scale of Pay (Grade) : Rs.36600-62000/- (E-5)
Age Limit : 45 Yrs.
Qualification : Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce/ Engineering with Degree in Law.
*Pre-revised (1997) Pay Scale. Under revision w.e.f. 01/01/2007. Provisionally: Rs. 51300-73000.

a. Application must be accompanied with a non-refundable Account Payee Demand Draft of Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty Only) drawn on any Scheduled Bank in favour of Hindustan Copper Limited and payable at Kolkata with a validity period of six (6) months.
b. DD issued either on a date prior to the date of advertisement or payable at a location other
than Kolkata, shall not be accepted.
c. SC / ST / PWD / Female candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
ii) Candidates employed in Government / Semi-Government / Public Sector Undertaking are required to submit their application through Proper Channel or produce a No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of Interview, failing which they shall not be interviewed and no claim for reimbursement of travel expenses shall be entertained.
