Allahabad University has always occupied an esteemed place among the universities of India for over a century now. Established on 23rd September 1887, it is the fourth oldest university of India after Calcutta, Bombay and Madras University.The credit for conceiving a large Central College at Allahabad, eventually to develop into a University, is due to Sir William Muir, then Lt. Governor of United Provinces. As a result of his initiative the foundation stone of the Muir Central College (named after him) was laid on Dec. 9 1873 by His Excellency Lord Northbrook.
Applications are invited for the  Non- Plan posts of  Assistant Professor (115 Posts), Associate Professor (88 Posts) & Professor (50 Posts) in various Departments of Faculties of  Arts, Commerce, Law, Science and other independent Institutes / Centres of the University of Alla habad. The Advertisement includes Non-Plan, Backlog Vacancies and Specialized Posts. The University reserves the right to change the number of vacancy(s) of any category and also to withdraw partial or full Advertisement without assigning  any reason. Qualifications & Pay Scale shall be as per UGC Regulations-2010. Reservations for SC, ST, OBC and PH shall be applicable as per UGC Guidelines and GOI Rules.

Job Role : Teachers (Non-Plan Posts)

Applications are invited for the Non-Plan Posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor,  Professor in various Departments of Faculties of Arts, Commerce, Law, Science and other
independent Institutes / Centres of the University of Allahabad. The Advertisement includes Non-Plan, Backlog Vacancies and Specialized Posts : 
  1. Professor : 50 posts,
    Pay Scale : Rs. 37400-67000 with AGP of Rs. 10000/-
  2. Associate Professor : 88 posts,
    Pay Scale : Rs. 37400-67000 with AGP of Rs. 9000/-
  3. Assistant Professor : 115 posts,
    Pay Scale : 15000-39100 with AGP of Rs. 6000/-

Application Fee :  DD of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 200/- for SC/ST candidates) from any nationalized bank drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, University of Allahabad and payable at Allahabad.
