UKPSC has published an advertisement for the recruitment of Ayurvedic Medical Officer and invited applications in prescribed format . Applicants who will meet the following mentioned eligibility criteria for the current recruitment can apply to Secretary in prescribed format on or before 08.05.2012 with all relevant documents.

Job Role : Ayurvedic Medical Officer.

Number of Vacancies : 564.

Education Qualification : Degree in Ayurvedic from any university recognized by law OR 5 years or 4 1/2 years degree in Ayurvedic from Indian Medical Council Uttarkahand and Minimum 6 months experience in Ayurvedic, Yunani or Alopathic Hospital or 1 year internship .

Age Limit : Minimum 21 years and Maximum 35 years as on 01.07.2012 . Relaxation in age will be given as per rule of government.

 Organization Description : The State of Uttarakhand came into existence on 09th November, 2000 under the Reorganisation of Uttar Pradesh Act 2000. The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission was Constituted under the provisions of the Article 315 of the Constitution of India by the Governor of Uttarakhand vide Notification No. 247/1-Karmik-2001 dated 14th March, 2001. At present the strength of the Commission is the Chairman & the four Members.

Vision of Organization : It shall be the duty of the Union and the State Public Service Commissions to conduct examinations, for appointments to the Services of the Union and the Services of the State respectively. It shall also be the duty of the Union Public Service Commission, if requested by any two or more States so to do, to assist those States in framing and operating schemes of joint recruitment for any services for which candidates possessing special qualifications are required.

Mission of Organization : The Union Public Service Commission or the State Public Service Commission, as the case may be, shall be consulted on all matters relating to methods of recruitment to civil services and for civil posts; on the principles to be followed in making appointments to Civil Services and posts and in making promotions and transfers from one service to another and on the suitability of candidates for such appointments, promotions or transfers;  on all disciplinary matters affecting a person serving under the
Government of India or the Government of a State in a civil capacity, including memorials or petitions relating to such matters.

Important points :
i. Candidates working as Ayurvedic Medical Officer in Uttarkhand on contract can apply only.
ii. Candidates who have given interview for Ayurvedic Medical Officer before this recruitment can not apply.
iii. Knowledge of Hindi is essential.

Application fee : Candidates are required to pay Rs. 130 /- ( Rs. 90 /- for SC/ST/PH candidates ) through Indian Postal order / Account payee bank draft that should be drawn in name of ” Secretary, Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, Haridwar”, payable at Haridwar.
