(ii) One year certificate course from Industrial Training Institute/Vocational Institute with at least one year experience in the trade.

(iii) Two years Diploma from Industrial Training Institute in the trade or similar trade.

Medical Standard (VISION) : 
  • Minimum distance vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction (i.e., without wearing glasses).
  • Must Pass high grade color vision test. Must not have knock knee. Flat feet or squint in eyes.
  • Must not have any defect/deformity which is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties.
  • Must qualify the physical efficiency test and medical Examination.
  • Must Qualify trade test of respective trade.



Age Limit : Between 18 to 23 years as on 1st August 2012. Relaxable in respect of the candidates for SC/ST/OBC and other special categories of personnel in accordance with the instructions issued by Central Government from time to time.

Note : 
 
1. Five years of age relaxation may be granted to the children and dependent family members of those killed in the communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat and of the year 1984. The children and dependent family members of those killed in these riots should produce a certificate to that effect from the concerned District Collectors.

2. Upper age upto 5 years is also relaxable for those persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec 1989. The person claiming relaxation under this category should produce a certificate to the effect that they had been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1st Jan 1980 to 31st Dec 1989 from the district Magistrate within whos jurisdiction they had ordinarily resided or from any other authority designed in the behalf by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir.

SC/ST/OBC relaxation as per government instructions will be in addition.

Pay Scale :  Rs.5200/- to 20200/- + Grade Pay Rs.2000/-.
