Mother Teresa Women’s University, Koidaikanal has just announced the result of Post Graduation Ist, IInd, IIIrd year in various Subjects like  English, Tamil, History, Music, Education, Women’s Studies, Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Application, Guidance and Counseling, Maths, Psychology, and PG diploma in computer application. Candidates who have appeared in PG examination in any of Subjects given above and waiting for their result now can check it either at the Official Website of University otherwise at web link further below. These Examination were held in the month of December 2011.

Mother Teresa Women’s University earns a distinctive place in the higher educational system as the only University exclusively devoted to women’s issues. The University was established in 1984, by the enactment of Tamil Nadu Act, 15. As enunciated in the Act, it is given the responsibility of monitoring, offering consultancy services, and research in the area of Women’s Studies. The renowned Late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru.M.G.Rama chandran envisaged the University to grow in the long run as an Institute of International standing, facilitating staff exchanges, guest lecturing and collaborative researches with other Universities of India and abroad in the area of Women’s Studies. 

Rightly it is named after Mother Teresa, a saint of our times and a woman of infinite humanity. Mother Teresa, the founder of the Missionaries of Charity and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, was hailed by Jawaharlal Nehru as ‘the refuge of the disabled’. Her selfless compassion and simple clarity stretching beyond the frontiers of language, culture and nationality, have translated her life into a vocabulary of love for the poor and the downtrodden. Hence the very naming after Mother Teresa lays special emphasis on the University’s commitment to the welfare of the rural women folk, destitute women and women in impoverished state besides furthering the advancement of learning and prosecution of research in Women’s Studies.
