NIT Kurukshetra conferred the status of Institution of National Importance by the Government of India, invites application for its two-year, full time MBA program for the batch 2012-14. Admission is based on Weightages for the score of CAT-2011 and GD/PI to be held in the institute.

Number of Vacancies : 90 Seats for 2012-2014.
Regular Category : 60 seats
Self-financed Category : 30 seats 


Education Qualification : Admission criteria for both category of seats (Govt-Funded Seats and Self-Financed Seats) will be same. The eligibility criteria are as under

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification of any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislatures in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India / AIU. This degree must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling [Class 12 or equivalent] 10+2+3 system. 

• The minimum percentage requirement is of 50%( 45% for SC/ST applicants).

• Basis for admission is the current year CAT Score.

Note : Although the Institute will use current session scores in CAT to shortlist candidates for its two-year full time Post-Graduate Degree Programme in Management, the IIM’s have no role in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.

Fee Structure :

• The fee for the regular seats is same as the fee-structure for other PG courses of the institute. The tuition fee is Rs 17,500 per semester. At the time of admission total fees to be paid by day scholar is Rs. 30,250 including Rs.5,000 refundable security and for hosteler it is Rs. 37,250 inclusive of Rs. 12,000 Security .Room charges may be Rs.3000,Rs.1800, Rs. 1600, Rs.650 depending on Single, Double, Triple or Four seater room choice 

• Self-Financed Seats : The fees to be paid at the time of admission is Rs. 75,500 inclusive of hostel and refundable caution deposits. The tuition fee for self-finance category is Rs. 50,000 per semester. The fee structure is subject to periodic revision without prior notice.    

Application Fee :

An application fee of Rs.1000/- is to be deposited in the form of Demand Draft obtained from State Bank of India only in favour of  Director, National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, payable at NIT Kururkshetra Branch (Code 6260), Kurukshetra.  Application form, complete in all respect, along with requisite D.D. of Rs.1,000/- should be sent/submitted

How to Apply :

Download the Application Form from the link given below. Fill and send the application form complete in all respects alongwith all relevant documents and application fee before the due date.
Applicants List will be put up on the institute website alongwith the GD/PI schedule to be held at NIT Kurukshetra in the month of June 2012.

NO SEPARATE INTIMATION WILL BE GIVEN FOR GD/PI . 
Based on the performance in GD/PI and CAT score a merit list is prepared and displayed on the institute website. Waitlisted candidates are offered admission if seats stay vacant.  If a student once selected deposits the relevant fee but wishes to withdraw then the same may be  permitted as per the existing rules of NIT Kurukshetra.
