CAT 2013 Syllabus:
Common Admission Test (CAT) is conducted every year for admission in various management programs. The test is executed by Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). Syllabus details
- 1. CAT Verbal/English Ability Syllabus:
Reading comprehension, verbal reasoning, syllogisms,
analogies, antonyms and synonyms, fill in the blanks, sentence
correction, idioms, etc.
- 2. CAT Quant/Maths Ability Syllabus:
Number systems, geometry, trigonometry, probability,
permutation combination, algebra, mensuration, time and work, averages,
percentages, profit and loss, quadratic and linear equations, etc.
- 3. CAT Data Interpretation Syllabus:
Interpretation and analysis of data based on text, tables, graphs (line, area), charts (column, bar, pie), Venn diagram, etc.
- 4. CAT Logical Reasoning Syllabus:
Clocks, calendars, binary logic, seating arrangement, blood
relations, logical sequence, assumption, premise, conclusion, linear and
matrix arrangement, etc.
Exam pattern
CAT 2013 question paper will be based on multiple choices (MCQ). There are two sections for CAT exam:
Section-1 Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation
Section-2 Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning
Candidates are allowed to attempt the question paper in 140 minutes
(2 hr & 20 mins) for both the sections. There will be negative
marking for wrong answer.
