CAT Entrance Exam 2013

Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national level test. This year it is going to held from22 October 2013 to 28 November 2013. The CAT is offered by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) which is the most reputed business schools in India. CAT entrance exam is organized every year for all those candidates kept desire to get admission in various management programmes of IIMs colleges.

The score card of CAT entrance exam decided the selection of candidates because on the basis of CAT percentile and scores, candidates are called for the next phase of the selection procedure which usually includes Group Discussion, Essay and Personal Interview (GDPI).

There are a number of leading institutes of the country apart from IIMs who offer the admission to the candidates in their institution who having a good ranking in the CAT entrance exam.

CAT Exam 2013 Eligibility

Candidates must have a Graduate degree from a recognized university in any stream, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average).

CAT 2013 Exam Pattern

The CAT exam pattern is very simple and easy to understand for the candidates applying for CAT. The CAT exam pattern is objective type multiple choice questions. There is negative marking in the exam, for each wrong answer 1/3 mark will be deducted.

There will be two sections of the exam. The first section is Quantitative Ability & Date Interpretation and another one is Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning.

Each of the sections will be of 70 minutes (i.e. 1 hour and 10 minutes). Once the time ends for the first section; students will move to the next section and will not be able to go to the previous section. The total duration of the test will be 2 hours and 35 minutes. Including a 15-minute tutorial of instruction before the start of the test and candidates are advised to go through it.

Dear aspirants log on to official website of CAT i.e. www.catiim.in and enter on CAT Application Form 2013. Duly filled form should be submitted online before last date which is 28 September 2013.

CAT 2013 Registration : 17th August 2013 to 28th September 2013.

CAT 2013 Examination Dates : 22nd October 2013 to 28th November 2013.
