1.Library & Information Assistant



Number of Vacancies : 2 
Education Qualification : 
Essential :
(i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent
(ii) Degree in Library Science from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent.
Desirable :
(i) Professional experience in Public Library system
(ii) Experience in computer application

2.Library & Information Assistant (Tech. Braille) 
Number of Vacancies : 2 
Education Qualification : 
Essential :
(i) Degree of a recognized University or Institution
(ii) Knowledge of Bharti and English Braille from as evidenced by test
Desirable :
(i) Degree in Library Science from a recognized University/Institute or equivalent
(ii) Professional experience in the line

3.Library & Information Assistant (Braille Proof Reader)
 Number of Vacancies : 2 
Education Qualification : 
Essential :
(i) Degree of a recognized University or Institution
(ii) Certificate (Grade-II) in Braille System both in Bharti and English Braille from a recognized Institution
(iii) 3 Years’ experience in Braille proof reading in an Office or Institution.
Desirable :
Degree in Library Science from a recognized University/Institution

4.Junior Stenographer

Education Qualification : 
Essential :
(i) 12th Class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University
(ii) Skill test Norms – Dictation : 10 minutes @ 80 w.p.m. Transciption: 65 minutes (English) / 75 minutes (Hindi) on manual Typewriter, OR 50 minutes (English) / 65 minutes (Hindi) on computer
Desirable :
Experience of working as a Stenographer in a Central Govt./State Govt department/ Autonomous Bodies/PSUs.

5.Library Clerk

Education Qualification : 
Essential :
(i) Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution
(ii) Certificate in Library Science from a recognized Institution.

6.Lower Division Clerk (Ty) 
Number of Vacancies : 4 
Education Qualification :

(i) 12th Class pass from a recognized Board or Institution;
(ii) A typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi on manual typewriter

7.Motor Driver

Organization Description : Delhi Public Library is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Culture and governed by Delhi Library Board, fully financed by the Government of India. Delhi Public Library was started as a UNESCO project in the year 1951 by the Govt. of India. It was inaugurated by first Prime Minister of India Hon'ble Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, started as small unitary library in old Delhi, Opp. Old Delhi Railway Station. It has since developed into a premier Public Library System in the metropolitan city of Delhi.

Mission of Organization : Delhi Public Library started with the objective of providing a free public library and information services to the people of National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi. The Library also acts as community centre for informal education and model for public library development in India. Delhi Public Library serves the needs of all members of community without any distinction of class, creed, occupation, race, sex and specially those of neo-literates and children.
