A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field or 1 or more years of relevant experience is required.A strong understanding of basic to complex concepts related to computer architecture, data structures and programming practices.Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices.Creative approach to problem solving.Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of other engineers to meet aggressive goals and high quality standards.Experience in software design and development.Strong aptitude for learning new technologies.Job Description:
Resolve Warranty, Enterprise Account (NetApp's highest priority customers) and SupportEdge Premium account (customers with a higher level of support agreement) customer issues via the telephone and/or off-line analysis.

Research customer issues in a timely manner and follow up directly with the customer with recommendations and action plans.Escalate cases to more senior Sustaining Engineers and/or Escalation Engineers when the customer problem is too complex or falls into their specific area of expertise.Leverage internal technical expertise, including higher-level engineers, knowledge base, and other internal tools, to add to knowledge base in order to provide the best solutions to customer issues.

Create new knowledgebase articles to capture new learnings for reuse throughout the center.Participate in technical communication meetings to learn about new technologies and complimentary storage applications.
